Apple Pie Roses

  • Pie Dough:

    • 3 c ap flour

    • 1 tsp salt

    • 1 c butter

    • ¼ c sugar

    • ½ c ice cold water

    • 1 Tbsp vinegar

    Sliced Apples:

    • 3 apples

    • 3 Tbsp chai tea

    • 1/2 c white sugar

    • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

    • 1/2 tsp salt

    Cream Cheese:

    • 1/2 c cream cheese

    • 2 Tbsp honey

    • 1 tsp cinnamon

    • Sift flour and salt in a large bowl.

    • Cut in the butter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Mix just until the dough is combined.

    • Sprinkle flour on counter and roll out dough. Split into 2 sections

    • Chill for at least 30 minutes

    • Marinate apples in sugar, chai, lemon , and salt until soft

    • Roll out dough a half inch thick.

    • Cut the dough into 2 inch thick strips

    • Cover dough strips with cream cheese

    • Follow by layering the apple slices on top of the cream cheese

    • Roll the entire combination into roses

    • Place each rose in muffin tray slots

    • Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes

    • Allow to cool and remove from tray

    • Serve with chai simple syrup and apple compote
