A Personal Note
Food has always fascinated me—not just the flavors and techniques, but the way it brings people together and creates connection. I believe deeply in teaching people how to source locally, how to honor the ingredients around them, and how to experience the satisfaction of transforming raw, humble products into something beautiful. That belief is the foundation my company is built on.
Education & Experience
My love for food began in childhood. I grew up in a family that gardened, hunted, fished, and made maple syrup. Respecting our food and the land it came from was simply a way of life. When I realized how many people had grown up without this connection, I was stunned—and it lit a fire in me to cook, to learn, and to teach others whenever I could.
At 18, I left Minnesota with three years of restaurant and farming experience already behind me and headed to The Culinary Institute of America. During my time there, I developed a CSA recipe add-on program, organized farm education collaborations for culinary students that had never been to a farm before, earned a grant to build a food-waste database for a high-volume production kitchen, and wrote my first standard operating procedure. I graduated with a B.A. in Applied Food Studies, with honors in Sustainable Food Development.
After graduating, I moved to Canada, where I continued farming, became a private chef, and cooked for people from all walks of life—sometimes in remote areas, on sailboats, or out of canvas tents. Every experience broadened my understanding of food, community, and resilience.
Now, I’m back in Minnesota—rooted in the place that shaped me, using the knowledge, experience, and wisdom gifted to me by my mentors to help others deepen their relationship with food. My mission is to support Minnesota food producers and small businesses, amplify their offerings, and help them thrive the way they deserve to.
